REFOOD
Refood works to reduce food insecurity. To achieve this goal, volunteers collect meals already made by various partners such as hotels, restaurants, cafes. After reaching the parishes of Lisbon with the incredible 100% Lisbon project, they have expanded to the rest of the country and are optimizing resources from north to south of Portugal. This institution wants to end hunger in urban neighborhoods and at the same time end the waste of prepared food. It is a project where the local community is solving the problems of its most needy inhabitants. The community self-helps itself in a direct way. All generations are present in this movement that is changing the way we look at food products that used to go to waste and are now a valuable resource!
