The ILGA Portugal Association acts in the defense of human rights and focuses on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex population. In addition to their psychological and legal support, they promote a range of initiatives to promote citizenship and combat discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, such as events organized within the framework of the Rainbow Families. They have just launched the UNI Form, an “APP” where you can register various hate crimes, being a victim or a witness. This tool is directly linked to ILGA Portugal (or local partner, depending on the country) and a copy of the registration can be sent to the Police. We think this is a tool that will help change mentalities / attitudes around the world and support so many people who often feel helpless or unsure of whom to turn to.
Note: ILGA Portugal is a member organization of ILGA, but not a branch of ILGA. Being an independent structure and organization, we were interested to put here the various locations to inform where there are support points around the world.
