Banco do Bebé’s (Baby’s Bank) mission is to guarantee dignity in the beginning of life. They intervene in the following areas: home support for premature infants and newborns with risk factors (health and / or environmental partner); support in the internment of pregnant women and parturients in MAC; support for essential goods for infants and children aged 0-6 years, by assigning baskets in a daily routine to signaled families, 15 baby’s trousseau per month at the Dr. Alfredo da Costa Maternity Hospital (Lisbon), 5 at Santa Maria Hospital (Lisbon) and 5 Beatriz Angelo Hospital (Loures); psychosocial support to families with infants in situations of social vulnerability. It has the peculiarity that for each family that is supported by the institution there is a volunteer who is responsible for it, which is available 24 hours a day and a simple phone call away, which is simply awesome and priceless!
